Bức tranh rực rỡ: DUBAI

Chúng tôi không thể trả lời trừ phi có quyền trợ giúp khi tự hỏi: Dubai sẽ như thế nào sau 20 năm nữa. Ý tôi là điều gì hơn nữa sẽ CÓ THỂ được thực hiện? Tòa nhà cao nhất, khu mua sắm lớn nhất và những điểm mốc khác nhau của thế giới đã chọn Dubai làm nơi tọa lạc. Những thành tựu xây dựng xem như “vượt tầm thế giới” đều là chuyện nhỏ!  

Bạn có thể quen thuộc với những hình ảnh chuyển tiếp về Dubai đã được công bố trên internet một vài năm trước đây.

We can’t but help wonder what Dubai will be like in another 20 years. I mean what more CAN be made possible? The tallest building, the largest shopping mall and various other landmarks of the world have made Dubai their home. The construction feats seem to be ‘out of the world’ to say the least.  You may all be familiar with these transitional images of Dubai that were distributed all over internet a couple of years ago.

Vài người sẽ nói rằng thành phố đã đạt đỉnh trong thời gian này và mọi việc bắt đầu chuyển động đi xuống khi đối mặt khủng hoảng vào năm 2009. Cái thành phố cồn cát - nổi trội - sáng chói  và nền kinh tế của nó đã nhận lấy một cú hích và đã ít nhiều bị tác động. Chúng tôi những người yêu thích thiết kế muốn nghĩ khác và hy vọng rằng thành phố sẽ trở lại trên đôi chân của nó lần nữa trong việc thúc đẩy mọi giới hạn của kỹ thuật và kiến trúc.  Trong ý nghĩa đó, bài viết này là những hình ảnh tươi mới ghi nhận những chi tiết tỉ mỉ về sự phát triển của thành phố. Những ảnh này được biếu không bởi Sergey Dolya – du lịch nhiếp ảnh gia, người bắt giữ tinh hoa của các thành phố. Ông đi du lịch và trưng bày ra những khía cạnh mà hầu hết mọi người đã bỏ qua…

The above snap is from 2008. Some would say that the city peaked during this time and things began moving downhill from there considering the crisis it faced in 2009. The dune-turned-glittery city and its economy were taking a hit and there was little that was being done. We as design lovers would like to think otherwise and hope that the city would be back on its feet again pushing the limits of technology and architecture.  Meanwhile this post is about the fresh images that have arrived which captures in meticulous detail the progress of the city. These images are courtesy of Sergey Dolya the ace travel photographer who captures the essence of the cities he tours and brings out those facets which most ignore.
